I won't apologize for being who I am whether you agree or disagree.

God gave me the right, and the choice I make is to be me.

God gives me free will, and on this day

I choose to live and do things my way.

I won't allow you to change my style or my manner.

You tripping on my color? This summer I'll be even tanner!

Would be nice if you could finally get it right…

Allow me my proper respect without me having to fight.

But it's cool if you don't ‘cause God gives me favor,

Won't allow me to lose my mind because I'm trying to make this ‘paper.’

You think you can win but I'm daily reading my WORD.

“No weapon formed against me…,” or have you not heard?

No weapon, not your words,

No weapon, not your deeds

NO weapon, take this job,

No weapon, please take heed!

I am safe from ALL harm

and I am confident, without fear.

My faith can move mountains and it responds

whenever I hear the words you speak, the things you say,

make no mistake you dig your own grave.

You take my kindness for weakness, but I will never be a slave.

You see my smile as a joke, but it’s my weapon of choice.

My words are a scimitar; I bless and curse with my voice.

That's why you can't sway me. The WORD of God in me is true.
