Val Olivia

Editor-in-chief

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Val Olivia relocated in 2013 to Southwestern Wisconsin near Fort McCoy. Prior to this move, the family was stationed at Fort Hunter Liggett, California. During that mobilization, Val completed a Master’s program in Communication, Media, and Theatre, worked as a Continuing Education Instructor for the City of Chicago Colleges Wright College campus, and welcomed her first child, Nathan Elijah. Since that time, she has enjoyed serving her family in the roles of homemaker, homeschool teacher, and caregiver for her lovely mother and the family's newest addition-- Naomi Elise.

In addition to caring for her family, Val works as a freelance copy editor, writer, and voice artist, and serves as a Host Site Coordinator for Family Promise of Monroe County. She also founded Vatic Publishing, LLC, “…so that I may have a platform from which to launch the books I am writing, and to provide publishing, ghostwriting, and editing services to other authors.” When asked about her favorite things, Val says "I really enjoy reading Proverbs, so much so that we often play it on cd's in the house. I also love photography, dance, theater arts, travel, and especially the privilege of being Nathan and Naomi’s Mom!”
